“Find glory and joy for God in everything you do”; this is the line I have chosen as the motto for Faith Crafter. Now I would like to share my thoughts on what these words means to me.
Sometimes I like to compare life with taking a roller coaster ride, it goes up, down, takes some quick turns and sometimes you feel like you are losing control and life feels upside down. I have had my share of sorrows and traumas, as well as love and joy in my life. When God found me and put me on safe ground again ten years ago, my life made a sharp u-turn and ever since, my life has changed tremendously. Today I am grateful for every day that I am given, each day is a gift, an exciting adventure to live my life to the fullest and make the most of my Godly given gifts.
Monday is the day in the week with most complains at my work, I often hear comments on Monday mornings like; “Oh it’s Monday, a whole week to manage before reaching the weekend.” Do I have to mention that not many at my work know God? I think if they had known God they would not complain as much as they do, I pray for them.
Praying is a wonderful and strong tool that I can use since we, the employees, can’t share our beliefs with the participants. My work place is multicultural and with people from all over the world with different believes, it is a wonderful melting pot of people. I do love my work, but I miss the fact that I can’t talk about all the wonderful things that can happen in one’s life when you give your heart to God. This is one reason why Faith Crafter is important to me, this is a place where I can share my love for God and testify about all the marvelous things that God has put in my life.
My prayers and hopes is also that Faith Crafter magazine, community and blog, will be a meeting place where we can share our love for God, help each other to use and develop our Godly given gifts, to grow in faith, love, art and craft.
When I first started to write this blog post it had the theme; “Inspiration Monday”, my intention was to share some inspiration for the week to come. Now, before this blog post will get too long I will share an ongoing project with you. If you have read the latest issue of Faith Crafter, you know that I made a tutorial for the magazine on how I made my latest art junk journal. I love to make junk journals, to reuse things, this junk journal was especially fun to make as I got to use almost all of my scrap papers. For me a junk journal is a project that never ends, you put in things here and there as you go along and more scrap comes your way. This weekend I started to embellish the front, I also got to finish my first scrap art journal page.
What inspires you today? I would love to see some of it, please feel free to upload and share. It can be a photo, something you have written, thoughts on a book that you are reading, a bible verse… Just leave a comment below 🙂
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:2 (ESV)
